Algebra I 808 is presented in two student-book parts: 808A and 808B. Students study the multiplication, power, and division properties of exponents, then explore fractional exponents and square roots.

They simplify square roots, express answers in simplest radical form, and use a calculator to find decimal values of square roots. The unit also develops scientific notation and calculations with numbers written in scientific notation. Chapter reviews, a unit review, and a unit test support practice across both parts. A scientific calculator is needed for this unit.
